Semi camp activities in Nekla (boys)

First week of the summer holidays (22.06.-04.07.09) on the newly opened recreation areas next to the school in Nekla there was summer semi camp.
The activities were held in the confines of "Nekla - ready, steady, go!" project and the participant boys were divided into groups according to their age: classes IV-VI of primary school and classes I-III of junior high school. The younger team met at 9.00 - 11.30 and the older 11.30 - 14.00.
The activities plan mainly concentrated on elements of technique and tactics of team games (football, handball, basketball and volleyball) and LA disciplines. The activities were alternated with numerous games which put emphasis on abilities of team cooperation. There were also plenty of games developing overall physical condition. The attendance was high - in the younger group there were 21 boys and in the older 15 ones but what was more important the students despite changeable weather conditions (there were high temperatures alternated with rains and strong winds) were eager to take part and actively worked.
The above engagement makes us happy and indicates that young people need such way of spending free time in the era of television and computers.
